Indian Society of Neuro-Oncology (ISNO)

Treatment of patients with Brain tumors requires multi-speciality management with specialists from Neurosurgery, Radiation and Medical Oncology, Pediatric Oncology, Neuropathology, Neuroradiology and Clinical Psychology. ISNO brings together all clinical specialists managing brain tumors and scientists researching on brain tumors on a common platform. This “Bench to Bed” platform promotes inter-disciplinary interaction and a more cohesive approach for treating Brain Tumors.

The IBTA is a global network founded in 2005 as a dynamic worldwide community for brain tumor patient organisations, patients, caregivers and others involved in the field of neuro-oncology. Founded by Mr Gordon and Mrs Kathy Oliver, IBTA brings together experience and expertise from a wide range of stakeholders including patient organisations, researchers, healthcare professionals, government agencies, regulators, medical societies, key opinion leaders and others.

Brain Tumor Foundation provides psycho-social support to those patients and families affected by Brain Tumors. It conducts routine sessions for patients and their care givers. It also provides for various diagnostic tests, growth hormone supplements for children. It is based at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai and has been one of the first such organisations committed for Brain Tumor affected.

A foundation aimed at teenagers, adolescents and young adults who are affected by various tumors. These subgroup of patients have significantly different needs due to their age and these needs have to be addressed. TYA Can has helped our foundation in planning our the modalities for running it successfully.
